Losses handled under Goods in Transit insurance policies are those arising from loss or damage of goods whilst on transit by air, road, rail, or inland water body vessels. Carriers' liability considers losses sustained by owners of transport vessels as a result of damage or loss of the third-party goods they have been contracted to transport. This could be as a result of road traffic accidents in cases where transport is by road, aero accidents during air transportation, or through derailment of train compartments.
